Scenario

Please describe the chosen scenario and why – use brief bullet points.

My tutor asked me to take 3 photos of my choice using three of the different available options which included, entertainment, seasons, sports, religious, education, parks and leisure, and science. i only had to pick 3 options which were sports, seasons, and entertainment. we took our photos in Newry which i thought would be a good place to get pictures of Sport, as there is a wide range of facilities in the area, i also picked seasons because it was really cold outside with frost on the ground so i thought this would work well, i also picked entertainment as there is a lot to do in Newry e.g. cinema, swimming pool etc.

What technique did you use?

the technique that i used would be digital, i used filters, effects, different various tools including, crop, rotate, invert etc. i used a digital camera to take these photos then uploaded them onto my computer and edited them using the tools i mentioned above. i also got 3 scanned images linking with my original photos that i took with the digital camera.

Choice of colour and mood?

my images were sort of cold because it was a really cold and frosty day. the pictures were taken early in the afternoon therefore thats why they look like that. the font i used was calibri as it is a clear font and easy to read for all users.

  

Describe the colour feel to your images? Are they warm or cold? What sort of font or typography did you use? 

The colour feel to my images are cold because they were all taken on a cold morning in Newry and there was frost about. i used Calibri font to type up my blog.

  

Graphics

the graphics i chose are good and describe Newry well as i can show you a few places in Newry which are quite good. they are much relevant to the area i picked because they fit in well. i am happy with the outcome of the photos as i enjoyed editing them.

  

Describe the choice of subject matter and graphics?  Are you happy with the outcome.

i chose to do Sports, Seasons, and Entertainment out of the categorys available. the graphics i have took are good and describe how Newry and Mourne Tourists would easily see big places in Newry that attract visitors. i am happy with the outcome of my original photos and edited.

What is copyright?

Copyright protects the physical expression of ideas. As soon as an idea is given physical form, e.g. a piece of writing, a photograph, music, a film, a web page, it is protected by copyright. There is no need for registration or to claim copyright in some way, protection is automatic at the point of creation. Both published and unpublished works are protected by copyright. i created all my images by taking the pictures with a digital camera that was supplied to me by the teacher, i then took the photos and put them on the computer and edited them using Adobe Photoshop. the images that i scanned are copyright free as i checked before hand. i would protect my images by putting them on the internet and putting a copyright logo underneath the photo so people can clearly see not to use it. i have not made any false advertising i simply took photos of entertainment, sports and seasons to represent Newry. my images will not offend anyone and if perhaps they should ill show them how and why they shouldnt offend you.
